The Honeymoon Blog we forgot about

Well, hi friends. It's been a whole year since we last blogged, basically.

We made this one after our honeymoon in September 2020, buuuut never did a thang with it.

We added all *new* commentary Greg and Anna style which means half of it will be partially untrue or just made up or half-remembered at this point. You get what you get.

Let's dive into this thing.

A: Here's a classic Greg. Party shirt and a burger in the airport. Dude loves to make a statement.

G: If i gotta sit at an airport, you can bet im gonna enjoy it with a classy shirt and some gourmet cuisine. Look at that photo and try to tell me you aren't jealous... Good luck!

A: Coffee shops were my thing. Now, Greg took over and preceded me in his love of espresso (stealing my thunder). However, our favorite of all favorites in Montana was from Ghost Town coffee roasters. Holy buckets. So yum. And the prettiest espresso machine of all time.

G: Coffee has indeed become a newfound love of mine. Didnt mean to steal it... I just showed up late to the game. Anybody want to start a coffee shop? I'm always up for a new business venture.

A: A true tiny miracle: A locked church in Bozeman that some nice maintenance guy opened and gave us the full tour of. Jesus is LORD that is all.

G: Ask and you shall receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened... I guess we should all just knock a bit more.

A: Our favorite drive and hike we took, easily. A little hike in Bozeman called Grotto Falls. Lil piece of HEAVEN tell you what.

G: I'm not much of a car guy, but when we rented a jeep grand cherokee sport model, I figured i'd try my hand at some posed vehicle photos. What do ya think? Seriously an awesome area... a must for a motorcycle trip if any of you other two wheel fanatics wanna hit the road?!?

A: Greg has never thrived so hard.

G: Beautiful guitars and a beautiful woman... Yup... Thats a honeymoon! Little afternoon serenade never hurts ;)

A: Greg was learning the art of photos - dude crushes it. Also, starting from day 1 of marriage until now, Greg is the best hype man. Dude always making me feel like a queen.

G: point and click... couldn't be more simple... or so I thought. Ate me some humble pie real quick. So much more goes into beautiful photography! Props to my wife for continually mastering her craft! She does great work... anyone want a photoshoot?

A: Food adventures in Bigfork Montana, and me taking a family photo for the cutest lil fam.

G: Anna simply captures beauty. She always has. And when she sees it, she pursues it. She noticed this beautiful family outside of the restaurant and selflessly did a mini photoshoot for them for free. Follow that up with a beer flight and some creatively curated food and you've got a recipe for a magnificent Montana marriage-moon.

A: Romantic wine date on the balcony of our little place we stayed. Preeeetty romantic. But also maybe the only truly classically movie-like romantic thing we have ever done? I like wearing shorts and eating ice cream too much for this level of suave.

G: Vino and Venice... I mean... Big Fork, Montana. Montana is probably more my speed anyway. But for real, this rooftop balcony overlooking the Swan River is absolutely breathtaking. And not as populated as Venice.

A: Greg took some pics of my cute bandana and if you want one here is a shameless plug to get one and support ya girl and a cool cool company. Shame. Less.

G: Shameless plug, indeed. Husbands, your wife needs one. I promise. Just get one. click and buy... see you on the other side!

A: I remember on this walk to this little water spot Greg and I talked about the reality that no day with each other is promised, and each one is a gift. It hit me pretty hard - that "surrender" and "gratitude" and "trusting in the Father" and "hoping for Heaven above ALL else" and "desiring Heaven for Greg more than anything else" type stuff. And man, if that reality doesn't help with the little annoyances of marriage I don't know what will. It is a gift to love and be loved by this man (who again, was taking some v fun glamour shots).

G: I almost fell in the river... The lengths an artist goes to get the right shot!

A: Glacier National Park. I remember us driving thinking we would stop at a particular hike - the lot was WAY too full. Greg asked our guardian angel to find us a spot, and a little drive down the road we found an empty parking lot to THIS hike which was WAY better. Also, more glamour shots. Also, guardian angels are legit.

G: If you ever need something, ask your guardian angel. They don't disappoint. This hike came complimentary with some shoreline dancing and a moose sighting. A squirrel almost stole some guy's lunch too. Priceless!

A: Last stop in the park - a lil peaceful placid lake. Beauty unparalleled.

G: Lake McDonald. The water was so still, that if the mountains weren't reflecting off the water, you wouldn't be able to tell it was there. Also, check out those rainbow rocks... Its like jumbo dip-n-dots underwater! God is so perfect in all his creations.

A: Driving back from Bigfork to Bozeman we got to see Kaylee and her (at the time) new FOCUS campus!!! Girl gave us the best gf donuts I've ever received. I even made what we call "food noises" eating them in the car on the way back.

G: If I had to attend the University of Montana to eat those donuts again... I would. There.. I said it.

A: This was a straight uphill hike - like one that we had to stop on at least 5 times even though it was only 1/2 a mile. Also classic me was carrying an iced coffee up there like it was gonna be a stroll.

G: Ever been on a hike that you thought would be easy but kicks your butt in the end... yeah, multiply that by 10... giggy was hurtin'. Fortunately we had our power drinks to get us through.

A: THE BEST THANG. The blue barn Airbnb. Solidified our dreams and also affirmed Jesus's desire to give us good things (like a future family farm/homestead). Also the lady let us come get some eggs from their chickens, which was the start of "The Coop" (our house and chickens) if we are really thinking about it.

G: BIG... BLUE... BARN! We ended our Mountain Voyage in the most lovely of homes. The Lord absolutely reinforced our dream to raise our family on land, with livestock. By His grace, we are well on our way! Chickens are the first addition. If you ever want farm fresh eggs, or home grown chicken meat, The Coop is your one stop shop for all your poultry needs!

Well,

That was a trip! Next stop: babymoon blog.

Love Anna, Giggy, and our lil bb girl (lol whaaaat).
